State of TNA Revolution Address

As we approach the ten year anniversary of TNA Wrestling, we are also approaching the nine year anniversary of TNARevolution.com! It was in March of 2003 that Brian launched this fantastic website that has survived the long run of being a TNA website while many others have closed their doors and shut down for variety of reasons. Brian has not allowed the website to fall into the lines of every other TNA website in the world that allows the backstage politics, backstage antics, and general backstage news to overshadow the in-ring and television product that TNA provides. While I haven’t been here for the entire tenure of the websites existent, I pride myself on being a part of the team. It’s interesting the way things work out as a few years ago I launched the (now-defunct) History of TNA website that included tons of information and results from the very first TNA show. I joined the TNARevolution.com forums, really to self-promote my website by posting regularly with a link and banner in my signature. That is how I became a part of the team because Brian took History of TNA to a level that I couldn’t do myself and in the process, I joined the team here as a writer.

The year has come to a close with some great moments and bad within the world of TNA/iMPACT Wrestling. I’m going to break down the best and worst of the categories that I have chosen. Bound for Glory 2011 Pay-Per-View Review

The biggest pay-per-view of the year has come and went, but was the event as good as it should have been? Let’s find out in my review of “Bound for Glory”:

Mexican America defeated Ink Inc to retain the TNA World Tag Team Championship: I am so glad this match was moved to the pre-show as it was nothing special. I thought that Toxine was very “off” during her moments which is just disappointing as I was looking forward to her being in TNA. Hopefully they can have a rematch with Ink Inc getting the tag team championship as Mexican America isn’t my cup of tea.

Two Years, Too Late?

It’s almost the two year anniversary for Hulk Hogan in TNA Wrestling, but it feels like yesterday that TNA shocked the wrestling world by announcing that Hulk Hogan was coming to TNA at Madison Square Garden. With the anniversary comes the task of either re-signing Hulk Hogan to TNA Wrestling, or letting him go. The rumor mill is swirling about a re-signing, but nothing has been confirmed. If true… is it two years, too late?

TNA Action Figure Review: Jeff Hardy (Series 5)

The Charismatic Enigma is no stronger to the store shelves where he normally keeps his high-flying ways, by flying off shelves! Jeff Hardy is one of the top sellers in all of pro-wrestling when it comes to merchandise regardless of the product, but that doesn’t mean the product is an actual good product to buy. So, let’s find out exactly if the figure should be added to you buy list.

TNA Action Figure Review: Rob Terry (Series 5)

The wrestling career for Rob Terry might not have been a long one for “The Freak”, but it’s definitely being worthwhile one. He is already a former TNA Global Champion, been apart of The British Invasion, and was even apart of Immortal for a short time. But, now you can bring Rob Terry to your home! Well, kind of… in action figure form as “The Freak” is slamming his way onto store shelves in a few weeks (could be there now!), but is Rob Terry a figure that is worth picking up? Let’s find out!

Let’s kick this off with the pros of the figure, which there are a good bit of. The figure is really well done with many of the correct, or as correct as they can be, parts being used. Jakks did a great job with the head scan, which is something that Jakks has been great with during the TNA Wrestling line. The fact that it also comes with the TNA Global/Television Championship is a major plus!

(Try) Wrapping Up A Month In One Article!

It has been a month since I have sat down to write an article – and post it – which some people may have mis-understood that it meant that I was no longer a fan of the product thus not writing anything negative about TNA to “save face”. I can’t speak for every writer on the internet that write about TNA Wrestling, but I don’t write to “save face” or play favorites, I write about TNA Wrestling because I enjoy and care about the product. I’ve made it quite clear over the past three years writing for TNA Revolution that I care about the product good, bad, or indifferent. Sure, there are websites that only want “positive” articles on TNA Wrestling, but the world doesn’t work like that: Nothing is perfect. So, since I have cleared that up for future reference… shall we get down to the point of this article? I think so.

Previously on iMPACT Wrestling…August 25th, 2011

We are two weeks away from “No Surrender” but this show was all about building to next week’s huge edition of “iMPACT” that will feature a Knockouts Championship match between Mickie James and Winter, along with us finding out who will go to “No Surrender” for the finalist spots in the “Bound for Glory Series”. Plus, Sting and Ric Flair are on a collision course because this is really a must-see match. Yes, that was sarcasm! What did I think of what happended previously on iMPACT Wrestling? Let’s find out!

DVD Review: Immortal Forever?

It’s been under a year since the arrival of “Immortal” into TNA Wrestling, but TNA Wrestling has released their first DVD about the group. The DVD picks up with the announcement of Hulk Hogan joining TNA Wrestling and closees with Jeff Hardy’s fued with “The Icon” Sting. While the group of Immortal might not be as strong as it once was, it’s still a force to be reckoned with. Does the release live up to the greatness that is Hulk Hogan? Read my review of this two disc release, after the break to find out!

TNA Action Figure Review: Samoa Joe

It has been awhile since Jakks Pacific put a new figure series out on the market, but they might have hit a home-run with Deluxe iMPACT Series 5. In the next few articles, I will break down each figure’s pros and cons. I’m going to take a look at “The Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe’s figure first right after the cut!

Samoa Joe is a good example of a wrestler that Jakks Pacific just can’t seem to get correct. When you look at Joe’s first figures (Deluxe iMPACT 1 and Cross The Line 1), you can tell that something went wrong with them (height, lack of articulation, etc) but Jakks is trying to get it correct in the next round, with a brand new Samoa Joe figure.
