Why TNA Doesn't Need 6-Sides To Be TNA

It seems a lot of people are up in arms about the loss of the 6 Sided Ring. I can relate to their frustration as can a lot of long-time TNA fans who watched from the start and saw them go from the traditional 4-Sided Ring to the 6-Sided Ring. So, let’s talk about this.

First, if your claim for being different is because your ring is different, you have a problem. You let your wrestling be the draw, your wrestling be the “stand out”, your wrestling be the reason people stop and watch. People aren’t going to flip channels on Thursday night, see a 6-Sided Ring and flip their lid about how freaking cool it is. They’re going to flip channels and flip their lid and see the look of a professional wrestling company. This whole “If it’s not 6 Sides, it isn’t TNA” is a joke. TNA was in business for two years before the 6 Sided Ring debuted. There was a TNA before 6-Sides and there will be a TNA now that it’s gone.

Second, this whole “We’re losing amazing matches!”. No, we aren’t. First Ultimate X took place in a four sided ring, first King of the Mountian took place in a four Sided Ring. The only match we’re losing is calling cage matches “6 Sides of Steel” but Lockdown can remain. It’s an all cage PPV and guess what – cage matches happened in four sided rings a long time ago!

Third, it seems to me that people just can’t handle change. People swear change, but for TNA to grow – TNA MUST change! It’s just like everything in the world. If something isn’t working out the way it should be, change it.

The whole “TNA TURNED THEIR BACK ON US!” attitude is pathetic. TNA didn’t turn their back on us by a long shot. People long for the “Monday Night Wars”, guess what? That’s where TNA is getting us.  I don’t care if it’s 3 sides, four sides, six sides, ten sides – I’m a fan of TNA WRESTLING not a fan of the TNA Wrestling ring. If you are saying that you’re done with TNA because no more six sided ring, then TNA didn’t turn their back on you, YOU turned your back on TNA. “Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling”, that’s the name of the company. It’s not “TNA: WE HAVE SIX SIDES”. TNA can, TNA will succeeded more now then they did with the 6 Sided Ring.
