Tara becomes new TNA Knockouts Champion

Latest TNA Knockout Tara won the TNA Knockouts Title from Angelina Love on Thursday night’s episode of iMPACT on Spike TV.

Tara won a non-title match over Angelina’s partner, Velvet Sky, then she threatened to use a tarantula on Velvet. The incumbent champion said she would grant Tara a title shot in exchange for not using the tarantula.

Tara’s second match went five minutes after her “qualifying match” against Velvet went about two minutes.

It was Tara’s first TNA title victory after joining the company last month. In WWE, Tara had two title reigns as Women’s champion. Her first came in November 2002. Her second came in February 2004 and lasted nearly four months. The victory on iMPACT ended a five-year dry spell for Victoria as a women’s champion.
