The Charismatic Enigma is no stronger to the store shelves where he normally keeps his high-flying ways, by flying off shelves! Jeff Hardy is one of the top sellers in all of pro-wrestling when it comes to merchandise regardless of the product, but that doesn’t mean the product is an actual good product to buy. So, let’s find out exactly if the figure should be added to you buy list.
TNA Action Figure Review: Rob Terry (Series 5)
The wrestling career for Rob Terry might not have been a long one for “The Freak”, but it’s definitely being worthwhile one. He is already a former TNA Global Champion, been apart of The British Invasion, and was even apart of Immortal for a short time. But, now you can bring Rob Terry to your home! Well, kind of… in action figure form as “The Freak” is slamming his way onto store shelves in a few weeks (could be there now!), but is Rob Terry a figure that is worth picking up? Let’s find out!
Let’s kick this off with the pros of the figure, which there are a good bit of. The figure is really well done with many of the correct, or as correct as they can be, parts being used. Jakks did a great job with the head scan, which is something that Jakks has been great with during the TNA Wrestling line. The fact that it also comes with the TNA Global/Television Championship is a major plus!
TNA Action Figure Review: Samoa Joe
It has been awhile since Jakks Pacific put a new figure series out on the market, but they might have hit a home-run with Deluxe iMPACT Series 5. In the next few articles, I will break down each figure’s pros and cons. I’m going to take a look at “The Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe’s figure first right after the cut!
Samoa Joe is a good example of a wrestler that Jakks Pacific just can’t seem to get correct. When you look at Joe’s first figures (Deluxe iMPACT 1 and Cross The Line 1), you can tell that something went wrong with them (height, lack of articulation, etc) but Jakks is trying to get it correct in the next round, with a brand new Samoa Joe figure.
Size Matters
I have to admit for a collector I was pretty excited about the TNA Jakks figure line. My collection is not too extensive yet but I am sure it will be soon. Little things about figures can be annoying to collector’s though, and I think Jakks Pacific needs to pay better attention.
For starters the Legends of the Ring figure line was a great idea but really has fallen short of the mark. Probably the only two figures so far worth collecting are the Sting and Hulk Hogan figures. Considering the WWE has the rights to most of Hogan’s work, his work for New Japan had to be replicated. I for one feel Hulk Hogan’s best work was in Japan and this figure had great potential but of all things is too small. If you look at the Mick Foley figure it is bigger than both Sting and Hogan. Foley’s figure looks like Andre the Giant compared to the other two figures. Yes Mick Foley is big but not that big. The Sting figure is also bigger than Hogan.
ShopTNA AJ Styles Exclusive Figure Review
When you think of legends in TNA Wrestling, you obviously think of one name above them all: “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles. Jakks Pacific have released a ShopTNA.com exclusive to pay homage to the very first X-Division Champion, AJ Styles. Styles is one of the last originals in TNA Wrestling and has been featured in more matches than any other talent in the history of TNA, truly the original one. Jakks pays homage to the very first X-Division Title match with this exclusive release featuring Styles in his attire from June 26, 2002. How does the figure tie together? Let’s take a look, right after the break.
An Open Letter To Jakks Pacific
As a wrestling fan [and collector], the one thing I always looked forward to apart from pay-per-views and attending shows was of course, Toy Fair. The annual event where all companies gather, show off upcoming products and also speak to the press. TNA has been blessed with action figures in the past from Marvel Toys and they would always up their game for ToyFair. It’s at these types of events that we’re able to get excited about the future products but Jakks has left myself and many fans with a sour taste in our mouths.
TNA Action Figure Review: Jeff Jarrett
The King of the Mountain is featured in TNA Deluxe iMPACRT Series 1 and is here to dominate your favorite TNA Wrestlers in figure form. How does “The King of the Mountain” stack up to my reviews? Let’s find out after the break, slap nuts!
TNA Action Figure Review: “The Blue Print” Matt Morgan
You have awaken a sleeping… action figure? Yeah, that’s it… as Matt Morgan makes his TNA Action Figure debut in TNA Deluxe iMPACT Series 3. The seven foot “DNA of TNA” proves that he is truly a blue print for the [near] perfect TNA Action Figure. I also believe his action figure could beat me up… so that’s something.
